NBLC Endorsements

NBLC's Government Affairs Committee reviews and makes recommendations on legislation, candidates and ballot measures for final approval by the Board of Directors. 

The Committee discusses local and state policy proposals in order to make recommendations to the Board of Director’s about the soundness of proposed policies and how they may impact NBLC members and the North Bay.  It also makes recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding Candidates Political Action Committee (CPAC) and Issues Political Action Committee (IPAC) contributions for endorsed candidates and ballot measures.   

This committee is also responsible for coordinating Candidates' Forums during campaign times, in order to provide the membership and the public with the opportunity to learn more about public policy and the issues of the North Bay.

Candidate Endorsements for the November 6, 2012 General Election  

As the only employer-led public policy organization that represents the North Bay, NBLC advocates for a regional perspective when addressing community concerns.  NBLC supports candidates that share the same values on improving education, increasing economic competitiveness, reforming public pensions and making government sustainable within today’s fiscal realities, improving transportations, and regulatory reform.
